Camp Twin Lakes Intern Desired Qualifications: 14-16 week internships are offered year round to coincide with your school calendar • Job Qualifications Prefer background in experiential education, outdoor recreation, leisure studies, teaching or related field• Previous camp and youth experience. • Understanding of CTL’s mission and objectives. • Desire and ability to learn about camp program management. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Knowledge of several program areas (Adventure Challenge, Creative Arts, Teambuilding, Community Service, Waterfront, Nature, Horseback riding) • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point) Responsible to: Program Director Responsibilities vary depending upon time of year but may include: • Develop and revise lesson plans based upon outcomes and objectives. • Update or create operating procedures for program areas. • Assist with documentation and preparation for ACA accreditation. • Attend and lead program activities • Create and post job advertisements, brochures, and flyers for summer staff. • Market and recruit summer staff through promotional materials, job fairs, college campuses, club presentations, etc. • Identify and implement ways to recruit hard-to-find staff (minorities, experience level, males, etc.) • Review camper applications. • Assist with camper interviews. • Create program or event schedules. • Complete some administrative tasks (copying, assembling packets or manuals, phone calls, photography) • Organize staff and camper applicant materials. • Respond to prospective staff applicants by email, mail, or phone. • Assist with staff screening and hiring process. • Provide feedback and assist in planning for staff training. • Assist with staff orientation.

With its network of Partners, Camp Twin Lakes provides life-changing experiences at its state-of-the-art, fully accessible camps in Rutledge, Georgia; Camp Will-A-Way in Winder, Georgia; and other locations throughout the state.
