Tourism Development & Investment Company is a master developer of leading tourism real estate assets within Abu Dhabi. The company is charged with assisting the provision of a world-class infrastructure which will fulfil the emirate’s ambitions of becoming a truly global destination of distinction. We are looking to recruit experienced Activities Facilitators to live & work on our Desert Islands development situated just of the coast of Abu Dhabi. Desert Islands consists of eight islands and an onshore gateway providing a multitude of experiences encompassing a nature reserve, a cultural destination and a showcase for world-class environmental and conservation tourism, including the Arabian Wildlife Park, with one of the world's largest herd of Arabian Oryx. We are looking for Activities Facilitators for Sir Bani Yas, the largest of the 8 islands. The 87 square kilometre Sir Bani Yas Island provides direct access to Arabia as it has never been seen before - a world of natural wildlife, exciting adventures and serene escapes. Activities Facilitators The Activity Facilitator will host visitors to Sir Bani Yas Island by welcoming them at point of arrival and escorting them on activities, such as mountain biking, kayaking, game drives, snorkeling and walks. This position will ensure that visitors experience the legacy of the island including the rustic beauty, animals, plants, birdlife, marine life, archeology & history. Duties & Responsibilities- •Liaise with Activities Coordinator to determine bookings and any special requirements for visitor groups. •Greet visitors as they arrive on the island and provide basic island briefing. •Ensure factual knowledge is imparted to visitors regarding history and future of the island, its animals, plants, bird life, marine life and archeological heritage. •Escort visitors on various activities ensuring designated routes are followed in order to maintain the integrity and conservation of areas on the island. •Ensure that visitors are safe and that hazards or potential hazards are mitigated and reported to management. •Ensure that safety requirements are adhered to by visitors, such as use of life jackets, wearing of safety helmets, etc. •At all times maintain cultural sensitivity of various nationalities, in particular of non-western cultures. •Provide feedback to management on guest requests or suggestions.
